I don’t agree with everything in this book but hey like I always say, “chew the meat and spit out the bones”. More than that I believe it’s good for our beliefs and perspectives to be challenged so that we can learn if what we stand on is solid and what we are doing is actually beneficial.

The book that will change the way we think about health and illness. This was a very informative and helpful book; it gives tools to deal with pain and emotions. It definitely has a different perspective about thoughts and emotions and what they produce.

Sarno wrote “To distract us from unpleasant thoughts and emotions, our brain creates real physical pain. In our society it is acceptable to have certain symptoms like back pain, headaches & reflux. When we focus on pain we are distracted from the real causes.” It gives fascinating description of how physical symptoms can manifest with unresolved mental upsets.  I fully believe in the power of our minds so reading this book was fun.
