DON’T LET YOURSELF GO

There’s a big difference between neglecting your body and neglecting your soul. If you neglect your health, your body will get fatigued and ultimately succumb to illness. However, if you neglect your soul and spirit, everything about you will collapse – whether it’s physically, mentally, or emotionally. Sometimes life can feel like one big rat race. If we’re not chasing after the latest fad or trying to figure out what’s trending, we’re drowning in jealously over the fake lives that other people portray on social media. It’s no surprise that so many people wrestle with insecurity every day. Enough is enough! Stop comparing yourself to other people. There is no need to torture yourself wishing for that extravagant trip to Nepal or longing for that neon Lamborghini.

Take a good look in the mirror and accept to stand in your truth. Stand in the truth of your uniqueness. Stand in the truth of your potential. Stand in the truth of your worthiness, just the way you are. Who says you have to have that perfect Instagram life to be happy? It’s more important to be healthy. It’s more important to be content. It’s more important to be secure in who you are whether there is a million dollars in your bank account, or just one. You have the power within you to move mountains! The very power that sustains the entire universe in harmony exists within you. Be still, and listen. Meditate on this thought. You are capable of achieving even your most incredible dreams.

Don’t allow yourself to become a prisoner of discontent. If you spend all of your time creating a reality that only exists in your head, every thought and emotion you have will be contaminated with self-doubt. It’s important to understand that no one is chasing you. The sky isn’t going to fall if you don’t have the perfect life.

Don’t let money and ambition steal the hope, joy, and smile from your life. There are countless traps in this world that threaten to steal your happiness, but remember, your armor is from heaven. The fire inside you is eternal. Your mind is a weapon and your chest is a shield covered in gold from the heavens. Who told you that you aren’t good enough? Who on earth told you that you are a beggar? We are all children of God. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. We are all a part of God’s divine plan, and this fact makes us all important. Through Christ, we are all connected. We are all connected to the supreme source of life. This isn’t some type of hippie mumbo-jumbo, or some cliché motivational platitude, it’s the truth. And you know it too. It’s time to open your spiritual eyes and recognize that you are called to live your life as an heir to the Kingdom of God. You are royalty, so accept it! Get up, do not be afraid and everything you ask in faith shall be given unto you in God’s time. Stand firm and have faith, soon you will see.

DON’T PRETEND

Few things in life are as important as standing in your truth. It’s high time people stopped being so comfortable with phoniness. There’s no need to pretend to be more than you are, or to think less of yourself at all. We are all equal, with different nuances to our skills and abilities. Regardless of who you are or where you come from, we all basically share the same inner essence. Every person is perfectly capable of experiencing contentment, or attaining great success in life. Unfortunately we are also susceptible to insecurities and self-doubt. We never want to take responsibility for our lives and we blindly fall victim to perfectionism. In the process, we constantly try to justify unreasonable behavior.

Life’s about the little things. It’s a about finding joy in the beautiful simplicity of our shared reality. Instead of trying to get the most out of time, learn to savor it. Bathe with calm, eat slowly, unbutton with pace, soothe yourself with love and stop being so fixated on what to expect next. Enjoy your sleep and dream big. Eat what you want and be spontaneous. It’s ok to cry every now and then, but don’t end up choking on your tears. If times are tough, turn on the radio and sing, even if your voice is trembling and hoarse. Choose to live in happiness. Choose to live in purpose. Make a sincere prayer and tell God everything that bothers you. Pray about what you want to change and let God take the wheel. Life is simple, but we tend to complicate it with so much noise and distractions. If you start to live authentically, you can walk a mile in the dark, but the light inside you will always shine a away.

THE QUESTION

Most of our thought processes are based on pessimism. Whenever we contemplate an issue or a dilemma, we end up asking a series of circular questions and answers. We fixate on trying to reveal the unknown and lose sight of our train of thought. If we re-think the way we reason, and make a few modifications to how we solve problems, there will be a dramatic improvement to how we gain understanding of the many mysteries we encounter.
Change the Question

Example:

How do I do this, if it is impossible?

  • Notice how in this question, the answer is implied in the second clause and doesn’t allow you to generate a new process of thought, much less a new path of discernment. Word-choice seems trivial, but it has a profound subliminal effect on our perception. In the given example, all hope is lost purely because of the choice to include the words “if it is impossible.” Whether or not it was intentional, this negative phrasing turned faith into an abstract concept when it should be a central catalyst.

Rephrasing:

How do I do this?

  • By reformulating the question as illustrated above, you open endless opportunities to activate your potential. Even though the circumstances being questioned are unknown, eliminating pessimistic language allows you to be both proactive and creative about finding an answer. Optimism and neutral language activates your faith, and the concept in question ceases to be abstract. Clearly your mind will be more receptive to answering this question if there are no barriers established by negative-phrasing.

This is the key to changing the way we think. It seems simplistic, but if we condition our minds with thoughts that don’t stand in conflict with our intentions, we position ourselves to stop asking redundant questions and start finding useful answers. If you can train your mind to relinquish the inertia of negativity, you’ll be able to relax and figure out what needs to be done.

IF YOU CAN’T FIND THE ANSWER, IT IS BECAUSE YOU KEEP ASKING THE SAME QUESTION!
